A SURVIVOR

A captivating lecture from Rom, who carries the echoes of Nova Festival—tracing every beat from sunrise joy to October 7th terror and the arduous road back to hope.

My name is Rom El-Hai, I’m from Israel, and I was at the Nova Music Festival.
“Imagine that you are going to a festival to celebrate your life and an hour later you find yourself hiding in the bushes and praying for your life”

There’s something special about trance festivals, traveling with your closest friends, connecting with nature, and dancing freely without overthinking. But what I love the most are the moments after, when we sit together, share stories, and laugh about everything we experienced.

But this time, it’s different. This time, the story is bigger and harder to tell. It includes pain, trauma, and cruelty but also growth, strength, and hope. That’s why I choose to share it, Not just to remember but to connect and help others grow with me.

About the Lecutre

From Survival to Dancing

This lecture is an invitation to hear a personal story of survival, healing, and choosing life after it all. It’s about what we all share: fear, resilience, and the choice to keep going.

A Story of Survival

I share what happened at the Nova Festival, the moments of fear, chaos and the strength that surfaced when it mattered most.

Growth from Trauma

I talk about the process of healing. How trauma changed me and how I began to rebuild from it.

We Will Dance Again

(Optional) A special DJ set in memory of the victims of the Nova Party as a gesture of liberation, freedom and a reminder that we will not stop dancing!

Testimonials

How my story touched others

Rom’s storytelling is both compelling and sincere, supported by a thoughtfully prepared presentation that draws the audience in from the first moment. His talks, delivered in both English and Hebrew (as appropriate for the audience), allow for maximum connection and engagement.

Idit Lotringer
Regional Director, IAC Central Florida

Rom’s openness to us representing one of hundreds of Messianic Jewish Synagogues worldwide, coming from his own background, was an attitude I wish was shared by more Israelis. Toward that end, I think Rom will be an excellent ambassador when he returns to Israel in explaining who Messianic Jews really are in his sphere of influence.

Joel Liberman
D.Min., DRS Messianic Rabbi

What makes Rom exceptional is his ability to forge genuine connections with listeners. His presentations, delivered fluently in both English and Hebrew, take audiences on an emotional journey where they find themselves both laughing and crying. Rom balances the weight of his experience with uplifting messages of resilience and hope that leave a profound impact.

Efrat Petel
Director of Israel and Global Jewry Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester
